1

Booking a Bicycle Workshop

The neighbourhood centre is running a basic bicycle maintenance workshop on Saturday. Only twelve workbenches are available, so participants must a place before they arrive. Booking closes on Thursday, and an email will confirm whether a place has been allocated. Please do not assume that sending a request guarantees admission. Participants do not need to bring their own tools; these will be by the centre at no charge and must be returned at the end. You should, however, bring the bicycle you want to work on. The instructor will show everyone how to check the brakes before anyone begins a repair. the workshop is free, replacement parts must be paid for separately. Tell the organiser in advance if you need assistance getting your bicycle into the building. This will give staff enough time to make suitable before the session starts.

2

Cleaning the Shared Fridge

The shared office fridge will be cleaned at the end of this week. Each container must be clearly with its owner's name and the date it was placed inside. A name tells the cleaning team whom to contact if they have a question about an item. Food can stay in the fridge Friday afternoon, when the shelves will be emptied and washed. To avoid food that someone still wants, please take home anything you intend to keep before three o'clock. This includes unopened drinks as well as partly used ingredients. If you will be away on Friday, ask a colleague to take your food home for you. Tell that person exactly where you left , so they do not accidentally collect another person's lunch. The fridge will be ready to use again on Monday morning.

3

Collecting a Neighbourhood Food Bag

This month's neighbourhood food bags will be ready on Friday. Residents who cannot attend may ask someone else to come, but they must first give written for that person to collect their bag. The note must state that the named person is allowed to act on the resident's behalf. All bags must be from the ground-floor desk; volunteers will not deliver them to homes this month. The person collecting on someone else’s behalf should bring both the note and their own identification. , staff will not release the bag, even if the collector knows the resident well. These checks help staff give each bag to the right person. Friday at three o'clock is the collection . Any bags left after that time will be donated to a local charity because the centre cannot store them over the weekend. Please contact the organiser before Friday if you need help making a collection plan.
