Where can I take IELTS or PTE in Athens?

Pearson's test centre finder listed 1 test centre in Greece, in Athens on 30 October 2026. It is the only PTE centre in Greece, so candidates from Thessaloniki or Patras also travel to Athens for PTE.

Read on 29 and 30 October 2026 in the British Council's booking system, IDP's Athens page and Pearson's fee finder with Greece selected. IELTS costs the same at both providers, and PTE Academic is EUR 15 cheaper.

Pearson charges EUR 235 for PTE Academic, PTE Academic UKVI and PTE Core in Greece, and EUR 195 for PTE Home A1, A2 or B1. Refund and transfer rules are in our IELTS fee in Greece guide.

IELTS: book online with the British Council or IDP, choose Athens and pick a session; the venue address comes in your confirmation. Bring the same identity document you entered when you booked.

PTE: create a myPTE account with details that exactly match your ID, choose the test, then the city, a centre and a slot (Pearson's booking guide). Pearson's ID policy asks for a valid passport for PTE Academic; if you test outside your country of citizenship, a passport is the only ID accepted, and in your own country another ID is allowed only where Pearson's exceptions list says so.

Results: both IELTS providers list results in 1 to 5 days for IELTS on computer, and Pearson sends PTE scores typically within 48 hours (PTE scoring). Before you pay, take a free IELTS mock test to check you are ready.
