What IELTS score do you need for Riga Business School?

Riga Business School (RBS) asks applicants to its Bachelor of Business Administration, taught entirely in English, for IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 70. If you have neither, RBS emails you instructions to take the Edusynch test, where it requires B2. The Edusynch route

RBS says you must show English because the study process is entirely in English. Without a TOEFL or IELTS result, you take the Edusynch test, and RBS gives a two-week window to finish it. The 2026–27 timeline lists the Edusynch period as 1 March to 12 June 2027.

PTE, Duolingo and Cambridge are not mentioned, and the page lists no exemptions, so ask RBS before relying on another test or an English-medium school certificate.

Where Riga Business School publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.

Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.
