Waivers
Undergraduates may have the requirement waived if they graduated from a secondary school where English was the language of instruction or the country's official language. Graduate applicants need proof only if they are not native speakers and did not complete at least 30 credits in a university programme taught in English. Schiller prefers Cambridge CAE or CPE to FCE.

Other admission steps
Graduate applicants with non-US transcripts must have them evaluated by AACRAO, AICE or a NACES member at their own cost. Schiller recommends applying at least four months before the term, and visa students need proof of financial support and an advance tuition deposit.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Schiller programme page and in your offer, so check it there before you book a test.
Minimum vs competitive score
Where Schiller International University publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.
