UVU English scores by level
From UVU's international student application page, which has separate lists for out-of-country, transfer and graduate applicants.

Exemptions and other routes
English proficiency is not required for native English speakers. Transfer students can also use a grade of B or better in a college-level English composition course equal to UVU's English 1010 at an accredited US college.
UVU accepts both the old 0 to 120 TOEFL scale and the new 1 to 6 scale for now, and says only the new scale will be accepted after 2028. The graduate list does not include Duolingo.

How to check your score
Graduate programmes may set more stringent TOEFL or IELTS minimums, so check your programme page. The application page gives no band minimums and no conditional admission route.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admission cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UVU programme page and in your admission letter, so check it there before you book a test.
Minimum vs competitive score
Where Utah Valley University (UVU) publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.
