What IELTS score do you need for Appalachian State University?

Undergraduate applicants from countries where English is not the official language must send scores if they have not had at least one academic year with English as the medium of instruction. Four years at an accredited IB or US high school, or a high school in a listed English-speaking country, with an average of 70% or higher in English and reading-intensive courses, may also exempt you.

The graduate page says TOEFL or IELTS can be waived for students who attended a school in the US. PTE is not listed on either page, and Duolingo is listed only for undergraduates.

For graduate applicants, the test date must be within two years of the date of application. The undergraduate page does not state a validity period.
