School qualifications and pathway results
For undergraduate entry the page accepts IB English at SL 5 or HL 4, HKDSE at 4, India Class XII English (CBSE or CISCE) at 75% and WAEC at C4. Pathway results from INTO, Kaplan, CATs and Navitas count at 60% with no section below 55% for undergraduate, or 65% with no section below 55% for pre-master's.
SELT certificates are valid for two years from the test date. Duolingo is not listed.

Pre-sessional and the visa
If you are short, a 10-week pre-sessional takes students 1.0 below the direct IELTS score and a 5-week course takes them 0.5 below. Passing either means no further test is needed.
For a Student visa, UK Visas and Immigration asks for English at CEFR B2 for degree-level study and B1 below degree level, per gov.uk. At degree level, gov.uk adds, your university can assess your English itself, but the level must still be equivalent to B2.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Arts University Plymouth programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
