What IELTS score do you need for Falmouth University?

Research degrees ask for IELTS 7.0 with at least 6.0 in reading, speaking and listening and 7.0 in writing. Falmouth does not accept the TOEFL Home Edition, but it accepts a TOEFL MyBest score for one skill only.

If your test is older than two years, or your English-taught qualification older than five, Falmouth may consider evidence that you have kept using English at work or elsewhere, and may send a form for your employer to complete.

Falmouth's international entry requirements page accepts at least 75% in English in Standard XII from CBSE or CISCE for undergraduate entry, and WAEC WASSCE or NECO English at C6 or above for Nigeria. Pakistani applicants are pointed to the English language page, so they need a test. Postgraduate applicants from all three countries are also pointed to the test list.

Falmouth recommends pre-sessional English with its partner Oxford International Digital Institute and runs term-time English classes for enrolled students.

For a Student visa, UK Visas and Immigration asks for English at CEFR B2 for degree-level study and B1 below degree level, per gov.uk. At degree level, gov.uk adds, your university can assess your English itself and may ask you to take a different test.
