What IELTS score do you need for the University for the Creative Arts (UCA)?

UCA's equivalent qualifications page accepts Indian Standard XII from a recognised board with at least 70% in English, excluding Punjab and Haryana boards; research degrees still need a test. Nigerian applicants can use WAEC or NECO English at C6 or above (C5 for the MBA). For Pakistan it lists IELTS 6.0 with no section below 5.5 for undergraduate degrees and no school-English route.

For postgraduate study, a bachelor's degree taught and assessed entirely in English can count, subject to UCA approval, if finished within the last three years (five years from an ST22.1 country). UCA does not accept a medium of instruction letter from South Asia for Business courses, unless you are an Indian national who studied in India outside Punjab and Haryana.

Tests and alternative qualifications are generally valid for two years. For a course below degree level, such as the International Foundation or pre-sessional English, you need a SELT: IELTS for UKVI, LanguageCert International ESOL SELT, PTE Academic UKVI, Trinity ISE SELT (in the UK) or PSI SELT (outside the UK).

UCA runs online and on-campus pre-sessional English, including English for Art and Design and English for Business. Completing it at the target score meets your course's English condition with no further IELTS.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UCA programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
