Can you cancel or reschedule an IELTS One Skill Retake?

Sometimes, but it is tighter than for a full test. IDP India's FAQ says a booked One Skill Retake cannot currently be transferred or postponed, and cancellations must be emailed for review, although its transfer policy page lists One Skill Retake alongside the full-test rules. Whatever your centre allows, the retake must still be sat within 60 days of your original test.

IDP India

The FAQ says that once booked, One Skill Retake registrations cannot currently be transferred or postponed; to cancel, email ielts.india@idp.com, and requests are reviewed before approval (IDP India FAQ).

The transfer and cancellation policy page, however, groups One Skill Retake with IELTS on computer and Writing on Paper (IDP India). Because the two pages differ, confirm with IDP India before you rely on a transfer.

IDP Australia and elsewhere

IDP Australia points One Skill Retake candidates to its separate OSR terms and cancellation policy (IDP Australia). For UKVI retakes, IDP India applies the UKVI policy: transfer once more than 14 days ahead within three months, with an admin fee of up to 25% (IDP India).

The 60-day limit still applies

ielts.org says you must sit the retake within 60 days of your original test (ielts.org). A new date outside that window is not possible, so a late cancellation may leave a full test as your only option. Book a date you can keep. Detailed rules are set locally and can differ by country and test centre, so check your booking confirmation or ask your centre if anything here does not match what you were told.
