How Speaking is scheduled
IDP's test-day FAQ: Listening, Reading and Writing are taken back to back on the same day. At some centres Speaking is on the same day, or up to 7 days before or after; with IELTS on computer it is on the same day, before or after the other three parts (IDP).

Can you change the Speaking slot?
IDP India says it does not currently offer a Speaking date change for IELTS on computer, but you can ask to transfer the entire test to a new date for valid reasons by emailing ielts.india@idp.com. For pen-and-paper bookings, a selected or assigned Speaking slot could be changed by emailing 2 to 3 days before the test (IDP India FAQ).
A transfer of the whole booking follows the normal transfer rules: ielts.org says you can transfer once, to a date within three months of the original (ielts.org).

Don't skip Speaking
IDP's terms say you must attend all four components to receive a result; any exception must be requested at registration and approved in writing by the centre (IDP terms). Bring the same ID to Speaking: IDP says it is checked before you enter the room and again during the interview (IDP).

Not for IELTS on computer at IDP India; it is set for you. Pen-and-paper candidates in India could choose a slot in the candidate login.
When will I know my IELTS Speaking time?+
IDP India says it sends Speaking details three days before the test date for IELTS on computer.
Can IELTS Speaking be on a different day?+
At some centres, yes, up to 7 days before or after. On IELTS on computer it is normally the same day.
What happens if I miss the Speaking test?+
You need all four components for a result, so missing Speaking means no result unless an exception was approved in advance.
