Can you collect your IELTS Test Report Form from the test centre?

Sometimes. IDP Australia says some test centres let you pick up your Test Report Form on the result release date, so check with yours first. IDP India says you must bring the same ID you registered with. For IELTS on computer, many candidates now get an eTRF instead, and IDP Australia says most computer centres no longer post a paper TRF automatically, so request one if you want it.

Collecting in person

IDP Australia: in some instances your test centre may let you pick up your results (TRF) on the result release date; check with the centre first (IDP Australia).

IDP India: to collect your TRF from a test centre, bring the same ID proof you used for test registration. Centres are not authorised to share results by email, phone or fax (IDP India).

Paper TRF or eTRF

ielts.org says the TRF can be a paper copy or a digital eTRF, and that some countries now issue eTRFs (ielts.org).

If you lose it

IDP India says it cannot give you another copy of a lost or damaged TRF, but it can forward a TRF to an institution for you (IDP India FAQ). Most universities can receive results electronically anyway; see how to send IELTS results to universities. Detailed rules are set locally and can differ by country and test centre, so check your booking confirmation or ask your centre if anything here does not match what you were told.
