Can you write T, F or NG instead of True, False, Not given in IELTS Reading?

On IELTS on computer the question does not arise: ielts.org says you choose True, False or Not given from options on screen. IDP's paper-era guidance says to write the words 'True', 'False' or 'Not given'. Neither source says abbreviations are accepted, so if you ever write answers by hand, write the full word.

How you answer on computer

ielts.org's Academic Reading page says that for identifying information you "choose 'True', 'False' or 'Not given' from the options on screen", and for the writer's views you choose 'Yes', 'No' or 'Not given' the same way (ielts.org). You select an option rather than type, so there is nothing to abbreviate. IDP says all IELTS tests are now delivered on computer (IDP Community).

What the paper guidance said

IDP's question-type guide for Academic Reading says that when you answer you write "True", "False" or "Not given" in the answer boxes (IDP). It does not say that T, F or NG are accepted. Writing in capital letters is allowed: an IDP expert says you can write Listening and Reading answers in all capitals (IDP Community).
