What TOEFL score do you need for Central Connecticut State University?

Both pages list three TOEFL versions with minimum scores: internet, computer and paper. The graduate page gives no 1 to 6 figure, and neither page states a code, MyBest or Home Edition rule.

TOEFL iBT score reports issued since January 2026 also carry a 1 to 6 band score alongside the 0 to 120 total; see our guide to the new TOEFL score scale. Where a page above gives only a 0 to 120 figure, that is the figure this guide reports.

For comparison, both the first-year page and the graduate page set IELTS at 6.5.

Neither page describes conditional admission for a low TOEFL score. Applicants from the listed countries where English is the primary or official language do not need to show proficiency.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your CCSU programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
