What TOEFL score do you need for Charles University?

Both pages ask you to have TOEFL scores sent directly to Charles University, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, under institution code 3184, and say an application cannot be processed without the required documents. The pages do not mention the Home Edition, MyBest scores or a validity period. On the same pages, IELTS is 6.5.

TOEFL iBT score reports issued since January 2026 also carry a 1 to 6 band score alongside the 0 to 120 total; see our guide to the new TOEFL score scale. The page above gives only 0 to 120 figures, so that is what this guide reports.

The faculty pages describe no conditional offer or English pathway. Other accepted tests on the same pages include TOEIC Listening and Reading at 850.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Charles University programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
