What Duolingo score do you need for Chulalongkorn University?

At ISE, the English test is weighted at 20% in both the Test Scores and Portfolio options. ISE's admission criteria page says English, mathematics and science scores must have been obtained within two years before the application date. Applicants with at least two academic years at an English-medium international school may submit an institutional confirmation as equivalent to the passing score.

BBTech says English proficiency waivers are not available under any circumstances, including for graduates of English-speaking schools or countries, and that school transcript grades cannot fulfil the requirement. You submit a copy of your English test report with the application.

For comparison, ISE asks IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 80, and BBTech asks IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 79 (4.5 for tests from 21 January 2026).

Neither page describes conditional admission. ISE also accepts CU-TEP 80 and Gaokao English 100; BBTech accepts CU-TEP 80, SAT Evidence-based Reading and Writing 500, CU-AAT Verbal 400 or Gaokao English 105. BBTech runs two international admission rounds, so a retake before the second round may be possible if that round opens.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Chulalongkorn programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
