What TOEFL score do you need for Clayton State University?

The undergraduate catalog says official scores must arrive directly from the testing source; photocopies, faxes, scans and email attachments are not accepted. The pages do not state a code, MyBest, Home Edition or validity rule.

TOEFL iBT score reports issued since January 2026 also carry a 1 to 6 band score alongside the 0 to 120 total; see our guide to the new TOEFL score scale. Where a page above gives only a 0 to 120 figure, that is the figure this guide reports.

For comparison, the undergraduate catalog sets IELTS at 6.5 total, while the graduate page and the data science page set 6.

The undergraduate catalog and the data science page accept completion of an approved University System of Georgia intensive ESL programme instead of a test. Undergraduates can also qualify through a C or better in college English composition at a US college, or two years of non-ESL English at a US high school.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Clayton State programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
