Test rules at DCU
Every TOEFL row on the page says the TOEFL Home Edition is not accepted. Certificates must be awarded within two years before your DCU programme starts, and all scores must come from one sitting.
For the MA in Translation Studies and MA in Translation Technologies, the page gives a paper-based TOEFL figure of 600 (or 250 computer-based) among its examples of advanced English skills.
On the same page, IELTS Academic is 6.5 overall with no component below 6.0.

If your TOEFL score falls short
DCU says that in exceptional circumstances it may accept other evidence for postgraduate taught programmes, such as a recent degree from a country where English is the official language. DCU International Academy, on campus, offers English language courses for international applicants.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your DCU programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
