How Fresno State handles TOEFL scores
Both pages ask for official scores sent with code 4312 and an unofficial score report emailed with your other documents. Graduate applicants who earned a bachelor's or master's degree at a US college or university do not need TOEFL.
For comparison, the undergraduate page accepts IELTS 6.0 or 5.5 in each section, and the graduate page asks for IELTS 6.5.

If your TOEFL score is below Fresno State's level
The conditional admission page offers ESL plus degree admission in selected programmes. Students receive a two-year language study I-20, enrol in the American English Institute on campus, and switch to an academic I-20 once they meet the requirement. No minimum score is needed for the placement test report, and graduate students must also meet any GRE or GMAT requirement.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Fresno State programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
