GMAT, GRE and degrees in English
For master's applicants, GMAT (10th Edition) 550, GMAT Focus 515, or GRE with 150 in Verbal Reasoning and 3.5 in Analytical Writing also prove English. A bachelor's or higher degree taught in English counts if it is from the EU/EEA or a listed country, which includes India, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and Singapore; the language of tuition must be clearly stated. Pakistan and Bangladesh are not listed.
Hanken does not accept IELTS One Skill Retake or TOEFL MyBest Scores. Duolingo is not listed.

Minimum vs competitive score
Where Hanken School of Economics publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.
