What IELTS score do you need for the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP)?

If you need a Student visa for the Cert HE Popular Music Performance or Cert HE Creative Music Production, you must take a Secure English Language Test: IELTS Academic for UKVI 5.5 with 5.5 in each skill, PTE Academic UKVI 59 in each component, PSI Skills for English B2 Pass, Trinity SELT Pass with Merit or a LanguageCert SELT. IELTS Online and Duolingo are not on the Cert HE list.

Cambridge Advanced or Proficiency is accepted at 169 with 160 in each component for degrees, and 170 with 163 for postgraduate study.

You need no test if you are a national of a majority English-speaking country as defined by UKVI and completed full secondary education there. You may also not need one if you hold a qualification equivalent to a UK degree or higher taught in English and are applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, or if you took GCSE, A Level or Scottish English in the UK starting before age 18.

ICMP asks applicants to email enquiries@icmp.ac.uk before booking a test to confirm it will be accepted, and says it can accept a wider range of evidence from applicants who do not need a Student visa.
