In the British Council's booking system GFS Business Development Services had IELTS Academic on computer on 2 days between 30 October to 31 December 2026, the first on 14 November. The fee was shown in CFA francs, XOF 263,500, not dalasi, so check the amount your card is charged.
IDP does not run IELTS in the Gambia. British Council Dakar, with 21 dates in the same window, is the nearest alternative.

How to book, what ID to bring, and when results arrive
IELTS: book online in the British Council's booking system, choose Banjul and pick a session; the venue address comes in your confirmation. IDP does not run IELTS in the Gambia. Bring the identity document you registered with.
PTE: create a myPTE account with details that exactly match your passport, choose the test, then a centre and a slot at least 24 hours ahead (Pearson's booking guide). Pearson's ID policy asks for a valid passport for every PTE test; an alternative ID is possible only for citizens testing at home in countries on its exceptions list, so check that list before relying on a national ID card.
Results: both IELTS providers list results in 1 to 5 days for IELTS on computer, and Pearson sends PTE scores typically within 48 hours (PTE scoring). Before you pay, take a free IELTS mock test to check you are ready.
