Where can I take IELTS or PTE in Kigali?

Pearson's test centres and fees page listed 1 test centre in Rwanda, in Kigali, on 30 October 2026. PTE Academic and PTE Academic UKVI cost USD 255; PTE Core was not listed for Rwanda.

Read on 29 and 30 October 2026 in the British Council's booking system, and Pearson's fees page with Rwanda selected. If you need PTE Core for a Canadian application, Pearson did not list it for Rwanda; Kampala and Nairobi list it.

IELTS: book online with the British Council, choose Kigali and pick a session; the venue address comes in your confirmation. Register with the identity document you will bring on test day, and bring that same document.

PTE: create a myPTE account with details that exactly match your ID, choose the test, then your city, a centre and a slot (Pearson's booking guide). Pearson's ID policy asks for a valid passport, and a passport is the only ID accepted if you test outside your country of citizenship; check its exceptions list before relying on a national ID card.

Results: both IELTS booking systems show results in 1 to 5 days for IELTS on computer, and Pearson sends PTE scores typically within 48 hours (PTE scoring). Before you pay, take a free IELTS mock test or a free PTE mock test to check you are ready.
