Where can I take IELTS or PTE in Milan?

Pearson's test centre finder listed 3 test centres in Italy, in Rome, Naples (listed as Napoli) and Milan on 30 October 2026. The other two Italian centres are in Rome and Naples.

Read on 29 and 30 October 2026 in the British Council's booking system, IDP's Milan page and Pearson's fee finder with Italy selected. IELTS costs the same at both providers, and PTE Academic is EUR 15 cheaper.

Pearson charges EUR 275 for PTE Academic, PTE Academic UKVI and PTE Core in Italy, and EUR 230 for PTE Home A1, A2 or B1. Refund and transfer rules are in our IELTS fee in Italy guide.

IELTS: book online with the British Council or IDP, choose Milan and pick a session; the venue address comes in your confirmation. Bring the same identity document you entered when you booked.

PTE: create a myPTE account with details that exactly match your ID, choose the test, then the city, a centre and a slot (Pearson's booking guide). Pearson's ID policy asks for a valid passport for PTE Academic; if you test outside your country of citizenship, a passport is the only ID accepted, and in your own country another ID is allowed only where Pearson's exceptions list says so.

Results: both IELTS providers list results in 1 to 5 days for IELTS on computer, and Pearson sends PTE scores typically within 48 hours (PTE scoring). Before you pay, take a free IELTS mock test to check you are ready.
