One Skill Retake, French and validity
Policy 4-50 lists IELTS General or Academic including IELTS One Skill Retake. French-speaking applicants can use TEF Canada or TCF Canada at NCLC 7 instead.
Results are valid if the test was taken within two years before the date you apply to the College. Test results are presumptive only, and the College may look at other evidence if there are proficiency concerns.

When you may not need a test
The College's language proficiency page says you can show proficiency through completed education in English or French. Policy 4-50 lists evidence such as the language of your schooling (a post-secondary programme of at least one academic year), the main language where you grew up, and earlier language tests. Other provinces have their own dietetics regulators and may set different rules. Regulators change these rules, sometimes at short notice. Confirm the current scores on the College of Dietitians of Ontario page before you book a test.
