How do I correct a mistake on my IELTS Test Report Form?

Contact the centre where you took the test. IDP's IELTS terms say that if your personal details are wrong on the Test Report Form, you must contact that centre and provide documents to verify the correct details. A name you change after receiving the TRF will not be updated. The quickest fix is to catch errors before the test, when bookings can still be corrected.

Errors in your personal details

IDP's terms say the TRF is issued in your name as it appears on the identity document used at registration. If your personal details on the TRF are incorrect, contact the centre where you took the test; documentation must be provided to verify the correct details.

Never edit the TRF yourself

Attempting to alter the data on a TRF is listed as malpractice, and if the data on a TRF you or your agent sent to an organisation has been altered in any way, your original result may be cancelled (IDP terms). Organisations verify scores online, so a changed copy will not match the record.

Prevent errors before test day

IDP India asks test takers to review all details on the Data Verification Sheet in their candidate login and upload a passport copy; it says corrections there are processed within 2 working days (IDP India FAQ). IDP Australia reminds you that your details and photo appear on the TRF, so check that all information is correct at check-in (IDP Australia).
