What are the LanguageCert International ESOL levels?

LanguageCert International ESOL has six single-level exams: A1 Preliminary, A2 Access, B1 Achiever, B2 Communicator, C1 Expert and C2 Mastery. Each has a Written exam (Listening, Reading, Writing) and a Spoken exam, taken together or separately. You pick the level you want to prove, unlike multi-level LanguageCert Academic.

How the exams are delivered

The Written exam is paper-based or computer-based at an approved test centre, or online with remote, live proctoring. The Spoken exam is face to face or online with a live interlocutor. Taking both leads to a four-skills certificate; separate Written and Spoken certificates are also available (LanguageCert B2).

At B2, for example, the Written exam is 30 minutes of Listening and 2 hours 10 minutes of Reading and Writing without a break, with writing tasks of 100 to 150 and 150 to 200 words (LanguageCert B2).
