Waivers
The page waives the English requirement if you completed three or more years at, and graduated from, a US high school. Transfer students who completed English Composition 1 and 2 with a C or higher also have the requirement waived.

Intensive English Program and how to check
If you do not meet the proficiency levels, MSSU invites you to apply to its Intensive English Program, which prepares students for university-level English classes. The application fee is $60.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admission cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Missouri Southern programme page and in your admission letter, so check it there before you book a test.
Minimum vs competitive score
Where Missouri Southern State University publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
