NTHU TOEFL iBT minimums
From NTHU's Spring 2027 application guidelines for international students, which set a university minimum and list higher department requirements.

Test rules at NTHU
The guidelines say that if a department has a higher standard, the department's requirement applies. The TOEFL iBT Home Edition and TOEFL ITP do not count towards the university minimum.
In the same guidelines, the university minimum for IELTS Academic is 5.5.

If your TOEFL score falls short
NTHU accepts other proof instead of a test: nationality of an English-speaking country (the guidelines include the Philippines, Australia and New Zealand, but not India), a previous degree taught fully in English with an official statement, or a previous degree in an English-related subject.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your NTHU programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.

What TOEFL score does NTHU need?+
