Test rules at Peking University
Each programme sets its own date window: the New Media page asks for scores dated after 1 September 2024, and the PKU-LSE page asks for tests taken after 1 October 2024 and names the TOEFL iBT or Home Edition.
IELTS levels on the same pages: 6.5 for Computer Science and New Media, 6.5 with 6.5 in writing for the LL.M., 7 for Yenching Academy, and 7.0 with 7.0 in reading for PKU-LSE.

If your TOEFL score falls short
The Computer Science page exempts applicants who completed a bachelor's degree or higher in an English-speaking country or at an English-medium institution. Yenching Academy exempts native English speakers and graduates of primarily English-taught degree programmes.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Peking University programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
