What Duolingo score do you need for Queen's University?

Queen's says English proficiency test results are valid for a maximum of two years before you begin studies. Its page describes the Duolingo English Test as including a proficiency score, video interview and writing sample, which are shared with Queen's when you send your results.

For comparison, the same page asks for IELTS Academic 6.5 with no band below 6.0, and the graduate calendar sets IELTS 7.

Applicants who are academically competitive but below the English requirement are automatically assessed for QBridge, with no separate application on OUAC. QBridge Accelerated is an 8-week summer course open to all first-year programmes, and students need at least a B to progress. QBridge EAP serves Arts and Science and Engineering and Applied Science, and can take the Fall and Winter terms. Queen's says a score below the requirement will not harm your application.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Queen's programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
