RSU accepted English tests

Exemptions
You are exempt if you completed secondary or higher education fully in English in Australia, the Bahamas, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, St Vincent and the Grenadines, the UK or the US, or under the IB, A Level or US curriculum. EU, EEA and Swiss applicants can use a school English grade at B2 or above.
An English-medium degree from India, Pakistan or Nigeria is not on that list, so non-EU applicants from those countries should plan on a test. Duolingo is not listed.

Before you apply
RSU says it cannot process applications without valid proof of English. For tests not on the list, contact the International Admissions Office.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your RSU programme page and in your offer, so check it there before you book a test.
Minimum vs competitive score
Where Riga Stradiņš University (RSU) publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.
