How Sacramento State handles TOEFL scores
Both admissions pages say MyBest TOEFL scores are not accepted and give the ETS code 004671. Scores must be released to Sac State to count as official: log in to your English proficiency portal and send the scores through your testing portal. TESOL and English MA applicants are asked to contact intlinfo@csus.edu for guidance.

If your TOEFL score is below Sacramento State's level
Undergraduates can meet the requirement without TOEFL through Sacramento State ELI Level 7, ELS Language Center Level 112, FLS Level 16, TLC Level 9, UCLA Extension Level 6 or a GTEC score of 1125. Applicants who graduated from an English-medium US high school or college, or who come from countries where English is the primary language, need not submit a test, and the university publishes a list of such countries.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Sacramento State programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
