What Duolingo score do you need for Saint Martin's University?

International students need a set level of English before taking full-time graduate or undergraduate courses, and the chart sets out the accepted tests and the score for each level of admission. The table was approved on 8 August 2025 and takes effect from spring 2026.

The page gives no Duolingo validity period or subscore rule. A note in the chart says the CEFR B2 route to concurrent status is subject to a Duolingo placement test on arrival.

For comparison, the same chart sets IELTS Academic at 6.0+ for full undergraduate and 6.5+ for full graduate admission.

Below the full-admission scores, Saint Martin's offers two conditional levels. With 90 to 95, concurrent status lets you enrol in English language learning (ELL) and approved undergraduate classes together. With 85 or lower, you start in full-time ELL.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Saint Martin's programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
