Sichuan University English scores
From the Overseas Students Office requirements for undergraduates, master's and doctoral applicants. No band minimums are given.

Exemptions and other tests
Native English speakers are exempt. Non-native speakers whose highest degree was taught in English can provide a certificate demonstrating that instead of IELTS or TOEFL. Other certificates showing an equivalent level are accepted, though PTE and Duolingo are not named.

CSCA and age limits
English-taught bachelor's applicants also need a CSCA score report: Mathematics for liberal arts, Mathematics and Physics for science and engineering, and Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry for medicine. Bachelor's applicants must be at least 18 and in principle under 25; master's applicants 18 to 40.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Sichuan University programme page and in your offer, so check it there before you book a test.
Minimum vs competitive score
Where Sichuan University publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.
