What TOEFL score do you need for South Dakota Mines?

Scores should be sent directly from the testing agency, though copies of TOEFL, IELTS and PTE scores can be sent for verification. The page marks its minimums with a note that they require English proficiency testing on arrival at the university, and invites applicants with a different score to ask whether it would qualify.

For comparison, the same page sets IELTS at 6.5.

Citizens of countries on the exempt list do not need to meet this requirement, and neither do students with at least 500 on SAT English or 18 on ACT English. The page does not describe a conditional or pathway route.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your South Dakota Mines programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
