Programmes, length and how you are assessed
TJU's undergraduate degrees last four years, except architecture, which takes five. The page says admission is based on a combination of academic records, recommendation, interview and other documents such as scores from your home country's national college entrance exam.
The undergraduate page does not name the three English-taught programmes, so pick your programme from the admission brochure it links (the 2026 TJU Bachelor PDF) before you book a test.

Graduate study, schedule and how to check
The 2026 undergraduate application schedule ran from 15 October 2025 to 15 April 2026. The graduate international admission pages we found on the TJU site are dated 2020 and 2023 and are not used here, so find the current graduate notice and the supervisor's requirements for master's or doctoral study before relying on an older figure.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Tianjin University programme page and in your offer, so check it there before you book a test.
Minimum vs competitive score
Where Tianjin University publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.
