From Southampton's test band scores page. Your course page gives your band. Where a band shows N/A, Southampton says no courses currently use it for that test.

Southampton TOEFL test rules
Southampton's English language requirements page lists TOEFL iBT under tests taken at a test centre and TOEFL iBT Home Edition under online tests. The band page gives the Home Edition the same figures as the centre-based test. Southampton says it verifies all scores with the test provider and may ask for further evidence of your English.
The pages read today do not mention TOEFL MyBest scores or an ETS institution code.
For comparison, the band page sets IELTS for UKVI at 6.0 with 5.5 in each skill for band A and 7.0 with 7.0 in each skill for band H.

If your TOEFL score is below Southampton's level
Because TOEFL has no pre-2026 figure for bands A, B and F, applicants to those courses with an older 0 to 120 score should check with admissions or use another accepted test. The band page does not set out a pre-sessional TOEFL entry level.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Southampton programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
