What TOEFL score do you need for USC?

Every international applicant whose native language is not English must submit an approved test, including those already living in the US, and USC grants no waivers or exceptions. USC does not accept the TOEFL ITP Plus for China. Official scores must arrive within two weeks of your application deadline.

You can be admitted below the recommended minimums, but at reduced rates of admission.

If you cannot sit one of the approved exams, USC accepts the Duolingo English Test at 130 or more instead, but students admitted on Duolingo alone must sit USC's International Student Exam on arrival. Students who submit an approved test such as the TOEFL do not take that exam.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your USC programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
