What IELTS score do you need for the University of the West of Scotland London campus (UWS London)?

Both course pages say tests must be within two years of the course start. The London pages do not list Duolingo, Oxford ELLT, Indian Class 12 or WAEC routes; for waivers the BA page says to contact an admissions adviser.

The main UWS site publishes a wider list of accepted qualifications, but it does not set separate rules for London, so treat the London course page as the binding source.

The UWS London online English courses page targets IELTS 6.0 with no component below 5.5. The 5-week course is for IELTS 5.5 with one component at 5.0, and the 8-week course for IELTS 5.0 with no component below 4.5. You need a conditional offer, only applicants from selected countries are eligible, and passing means no further IELTS test.

For a Student visa, UK Visas and Immigration asks for English at CEFR B2 for degree-level study and B1 below degree level, per gov.uk. At degree level, gov.uk adds, your university can assess your English itself, but the level must still be equivalent to B2.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UWS London programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
