Hair and Beauty Salons in Copperdale

Cut Above

Cut Above is a family hair salon on the High Street. We cut hair for men, women and children, and our stylists have more than fifty years' experience between them. No appointment is needed on weekdays; simply come in and wait for the next free stylist. On Saturdays, however, we are very busy, and appointments must be booked by phone. Our prices are shown in the window.

Snips Barbers

Snips is a traditional barber's shop for men and boys. A standard cut costs £14 and a beard trim costs £6. Hot towel shaves are also available. We do not take bookings, so just walk in at any time. We are open late, until 8 pm, on Wednesdays and Fridays. Students who show a valid student card get £2 off any service from Monday to Thursday.

The Beauty Room

The Beauty Room offers nail treatments, facials and make-up for special events such as weddings. All treatments must be booked in advance, either online or by phone. If you need to cancel, please tell us at least twenty-four hours before, or you may be charged half the price of the treatment. Gift vouchers can be bought at reception and make a lovely present. We do not offer hairdressing.

Copperdale College Training Salon

Our hairdressing students cut and colour hair while qualified teachers watch them closely. Prices are about half those of a normal salon, but appointments take longer, so please allow at least two hours. The salon is open during college terms only, on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Customers are asked to fill in a short form afterwards, which helps the students to learn.

Hair at Home

Joanne is a fully qualified hairdresser who visits customers in their own homes. She is ideal for older people or anyone who finds it difficult to get to a salon. She brings everything she needs, including a basin for washing hair, and appointments can be made by phone or text. She works within ten miles of Copperdale. Her prices are the same as most salons in the town, and there is no extra charge for travel.
