How Acadia handles TOEFL scores

Graduate studies only accepts TOEFL results delivered to its ETS Data Manager account by ETS, using institution code 0901. The graduate page says some programmes require higher scores and points you to the Graduate Advisor for your degree. The undergraduate page says the requirement may be waived after three years in an English medium of instruction.

For comparison, the undergraduate page asks IELTS 6.5 with no subtest below 6.0, and the graduate page asks IELTS Academic 7.0 with no subtest below 6.5 for tests after January 2026.

If your TOEFL score is below Acadia's level

At graduate level, only the MSc in Computer Science, Geology, Environmental Science and Mathematics may offer conditional admission when you are academically admissible, a supervisor is available and your English score falls short. For all other graduate programmes the English requirement must be met at the time of application.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Acadia programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
