What TOEFL score do you need for the Australian Institute of Business?

AIB gives a single TOEFL iBT level for all applicants who use a test. English language test results are valid for two years up to the date of commencement at AIB.

TOEFL iBT score reports from January 2026 also carry a 1 to 6 band score; our guide to the new TOEFL score scale explains how the two scales appear on a report.

For comparison, the same page asks Academic IELTS 6.5 or better with no band below 6.0.

Category 2 accepts completed secondary education taught and assessed in English in a listed English-speaking country, and Category 3 accepts completed tertiary study at AQF Level 5 or above taught in English. A Levels with a C or better in English are also accepted.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your AIB programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
