BSB Duolingo minimums

BSB test rules
The documents give a single Duolingo figure per level, with no subscores, validity period or sending instructions. The MiM regulations are for the 2025-2026 competition, so check BSB's current version before you apply.
For comparison, the brochure pairs Duolingo 85 with IELTS 5.5 and Duolingo 115 with IELTS 6.0, and the MiM regulations pair Duolingo 115 with IELTS 6.0.

If your Duolingo score is below the line
With 85 to 110, Bachelor Year 1 is the level the brochure opens to you. Students on the French-taught MiM track need only Duolingo 70 in English but must prove French at B2.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your BSB programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
