CSUN TOEFL minimums by level and programme
From the international student admission requirements policy, the MA Linguistics page and the MSW page in the CSUN catalog.

How CSUN handles TOEFL scores
The catalog policies give the minimums only on the 0 to 120 scale and do not mention MyBest, Essentials, the Home Edition, validity or an institution code.

If your TOEFL score is below CSUN's level
The catalog does not describe a conditional or pathway admission route. CSUN accepts a number of alternative tests, and International Admissions can advise on them.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your CSUN programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
