What Duolingo score do you need for Chapman University?

Graduate scores count as official only when the testing agency sends them to Chapman; copies and screenshots are not accepted. You send them from the testing agency's own portal and choose Chapman University as the recipient. Chapman says it cannot waive score-sending fees. All subscores must come from one sitting, because Chapman does not accept superscoring.

The graduate FAQ lists the Duolingo English Test among accepted online exams. Graduate admissions does not waive the test on nationality, residency or citizenship. Neither page says anything about score validity or teaching assistant English rules.

For comparison, the same pages set IELTS at 6.5 with balanced subscores for undergraduates, and IELTS Academic at 7.5 for Dodge College, 6.5 for Pharmacy and 7.0 for other graduate programmes.

The undergraduate FAQ says Chapman does not offer English conditional admission, and the graduate FAQ says Chapman has no ESL programme for international students. Undergraduates can also meet the requirement with TOEFL, IELTS, SAT English 600 or ACT English 24.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Chapman programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
