Step by step
These steps are from Duolingo's sending results article.
| Step | What to do |
|---|---|
| 1 | Wait for a certified result; only certified results can be sent |
| 2 | Log in with the email used for the test and open My Tests |
| 3 | Click Share Score on the certified result |
| 4 | Choose the institution type, search, and tick each institution |
| 5 | Add your Application ID if the institution uses one, then send |
Limits and what institutions see
You can select up to 25 institutions. If you choose fewer, you can add more later; for more than 25, contact support, though approval is not guaranteed (help centre). If an institution is not listed, contact it directly; it can set up an account to accept the test.
Institutions that receive your result also see your Writing and Speaking samples, which are not scored but are shared (help centre). If a sponsoring institution paid through a fee waiver, it receives the score automatically and you choose whether to share with others (help centre).

PDFs, expired and blocked results
You can download a PDF certificate, but Duolingo says its website is the only way to officially send results to institutions (help centre). A result becomes unofficial and cannot be shared once its certification has expired or if it is decertified, though results already shared remain valid (help centre). If your account is blocked for a rules violation, you cannot share results (help centre).
Sending a result does not count as applying. Submit the institution's own application as well, and check its Duolingo minimum before you send.
Rules and fees change. Check the test owner's own page for your country before you book or pay. This guide is general information, not official advice from the test owner.
