Exemptions and other evidence
Curtin Singapore accepts some school results instead of a test, such as O-Level or A-Level English at a stated grade, IB English at grade 4 or above, or a US ACT composite of 21, generally within five years. Singapore polytechnic diplomas and Australian AQF diplomas taught in English count for undergraduate entry.
One semester of full-time study in Australia, or at a recognised university in New Zealand, Ireland or the UK, is accepted. In Canada, Singapore, South Africa or the US the period is one year.

Validity and the English pathway
Tests must be taken within two years of your application and can be used for entry until the next intake. If you do not meet the requirement, you may be able to take an English programme on campus with Navitas English first.

Minimum vs competitive score
Where Curtin Singapore publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.
