Courses with higher English requirements
Curtin keeps a list of courses with higher English requirements. It includes the Bachelor of Science (Advanced Nursing), the MBBS, the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours), the Bachelor of Education programs, the Graduate Diploma in Education, the Master of Teaching, the Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours), the Doctor of Physiotherapy and health masters such as dietetics, midwifery, occupational therapy, speech pathology and social work.
The list itself gives no scores. Curtin says to open each course's Admission Criteria / Entry requirements tab for the IELTS score, and that the minimum scores above do not satisfy courses with specific or higher requirements.

Tests must be taken within two years of application, but Curtin says they may then be used for entry until the next semester intake. Results from more than one English test are not combined to meet the standard.
OET is accepted (300 average, 250 in each component for tests from September 2018). Duolingo is not on Curtin's list, and Curtin's accepted-tests page does not say whether IELTS Online, IELTS One Skill Retake, TOEFL Home Edition or PTE Academic Online are accepted.
If your score is short, Curtin English runs General English, Gateway English and English Language Bridging courses.
Requirements vary by course, and Curtin can change them between intakes. Always confirm the score on your course page before you book a test. Your student visa has its own English rules, set by the Department of Home Affairs.
