What Duolingo score do you need for Dalhousie University?

The undergraduate page asks you to have your results sent to Dalhousie University from Duolingo directly. It gives no separate validity period for the Duolingo test.

The graduate page says the Faculty of Graduate Studies accepts its listed tests up to two years after completion and that some programmes ask for higher scores. Duolingo is not among those tests.

For comparison, the same undergraduate page asks for IELTS 6.5 overall with bands of 6.0.

Dalhousie says applicants below its minimums, or without proof of English, may be offered conditional admission provided they complete another test or an approved English language pathway. Options named on the page are Dalhousie's own English for Academic Purposes programme and partner schools CLLC and Oxford International.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Dalhousie programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
